Pours a light fizzy head low retention, great legs, murky brown color
Nose loads of apple brandy and apple in general, toasted oak, sweet caramel and toasted biscuity malts with toffee and candy, generic fruity
Taste sweet candy malt and toffee, caramel, a little alcohol up front, then plenty of apply brandy, apple sauce, fruity esters, a touch of winey oxidation, light perfumey alcohol, little bitterness
Mouth is fuller bod, a bit syrupy, lower carb, warming tingly alcohol, little gritty
Overall pretty nice apple brandy barleywine
