Takes the original Stay Puft and adds multiple types of chocolate on top. The hope is to create an adult version of that great cup of cocoa with marshmallows all over the top.

My 22 version is 11.8% ABV
Pours a very ruddy & effervescent chestnut with 2+ fingers of mocha colored head. Some head retetion & lacing
S: Cocoa, a hint of smokeyness, fades a little as this warms
T: Cocoa powder, vanilla, mashmallow & dryness up front. Sweet cocoa & marshmallow as this beer warms up, a little dryness & smokeyness as well, a touch of woody hops. Finishes dry with cocoa & marshmallow, plenty of woody notes on the tongue
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation
Much to love here, drinks great for the heft, a little too dry for me

Sampling a cellar temp bottle poured into my snifter. The beer was picked up as part of my stash at the brewery about 3 weeks ago.
the beer pours a dark coffee black color with a dense brown head of 1 cm . this foam sticks around throughout the sampling as a sturdy surface layer. No light is passing through my glass on this dark brew.
the aroma is sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, some graham cracker or other sweet bready notes and general sweet notes, which I attribute to marshmallows. Definitely a big robust nose, but not boozy or fusol notes. No hops show up at this point either.
First sip reveals a thick creamy textured beer with fine and gentle carbonation and a sticky coating on my palate after each sip. The physical traits make this a sipping beer.
Flavor is sweet chocolate, more chocolate and some brown sugar and a bit of roasted malt note. I also again, get a graham cracker or sweet bready note. Overall the flavor is kind of sweet forward and I do get a little booze after the swallow each time. But otherwise this is an easy drinker for the ABV. Hops are absent here as well.
Another great imperial stout from Barreled Souls! Stay Puft and its variants are proving to be very solid beers from this little brewery in Maine!
