Nice nose. Deep color. Rich flavor without the heaviness of a stout. Just in time for the fall season. Charlotte NC folks.... You can find this beer at https://saludcerveceria.com/ right now. Seek this beer out.

Pours a dark caramel color with about two fingers of light caramel head. As the beer settled, it became translucent at the top of the glass and stayed a dark caramel below. While cold, the smell is very boozy, as the bourbon really shows. As it warms, the caramel starts to show. The taste also changes as it warms. It was much sweeter cold than I expected. I also got a bit of raisin on the first couple sips. As it warmed, the toffee and caramel starts to shine. This was good cold and as it warmed. I haven't really reviewed many barleywine beers, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it feels medium bodied with little carbonation.

Bottle poured into fluted snifter.

Clear dark caramel color with foamy light brown head, bubbly, settles slowly and rings the glass with sticky lacing.

Aroma is big caramel with smooth bourbon and wood.

Sweet, smooth, balanced but flavorful barrel. Not hot or boozy. Caramel candy and rich toffee, earth wood balances the flavors together into an excellent and inviting brew.

Full bodies, smooth carbonation that is great for the style.

Overall an excellent brew, the balance is excellent, not too sweet, just a hint of bitterness and earthiness to smooth this out.
