This beer is also brand new and just for you fantastic members. We pulled off a couple of the Willett barrels of Stay Puft and turned them into PB Stay Puft. The first barrel-aged variation of Stay Puft we’ve done. Probably not the last.

Picked up this bottle as part of Bottle Society package a month or so ago. The bottle has been in my cellar since then. Pouring at cellar temp into my snifter.
The beer pours a dark coffee black color with creamy tan head of 1 cm resting on the surface. This foam does recede to a clingy and sturdy edge layer with some wispy spirals of bubbles spinning on the surface.
the aroma on this beer is rich and malty with deep chocolate notes, like hot chocolate and fudge. This mixes with some light peanut butter notes and a good dose of brown sugar and bourbon notes too. Definitely a sweeter nose and not too boozy and hops are absent.
First sip reveals a smooth and creamy textured beer, very full mouthfeel and slightly chewy body. Fine and tingly carbonation rolls across my palate and the beer coats my tongue after each sip and leaves a sweet flavor on my lips.
Definitely a sipping beer based on the physical traits.
Flavor is what the nose predicts and what I expect. LOTS of sweet chocolate notes and rich fudge like character with some roasted malt and a decent bit of peanut flavor in the middle which yields to bourbon on the swallow. I also get some sweet and toasted marshmallow note on the swallow. Pretty complex run of flavors on this one. Booze is absent and hops are totally overwhelmed on this sweet chocolate and bourbon treat.
I get a little more toasted malt notes on the burps than is present on the swallow.
Im really enjoying this one and it hits the marks for what I would expect on this beer and its ingredients.
Another winner for Barreled Souls!

Bottle from membership poured into stemless teku (ish) styled glass.
Pours with some initial bubbly tan head that settles into a thinner foamy cover then forms a thin collar. Dark, slightly viscous.
Aroma is sweet and roasty malts over peanut and bourbon.
Bittersweet and sweet chocolate, mallow, sweet and earthy peanuts and peanut butter. Bubbly but smooths out as it settles. Rich barrel with the tiniest amount of heat. Oaky.
Smooth after initial bubbles. Just over medium body.
A tasty brew and nice use of a high quality barrel.
