Dark purple opaque and murky body. Modest head production, but it builds; leave some extra room in the glass.

Wonderfully expressive and sweet nose, with notes of vanilla, blackberry, red grape, cherry, vinegar, and sweet chewy dough.

Just as explosive on the palate. Very lightly sour; the emphasis is more on the berry notes and the sweetness, although even the sweetness is restrained somewhat. It's a pastry sour, but it's fairly balanced and very drinkable.

Tastes like an expensive blackberry smoothie. Creamy. Sweet and tart blackberries and cream coat the mouth and throat warmly with a nice round finish that fades into oblivion. Full bodied and filling. At 10% these would be dangerous. I could chug em easily. Excellent sour well done.

A: Pours a deep reddish purple color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap that leaves decent lacing

S: Lots of fruit and berries up front, mostly blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry. Vanilla quite present as well. Some graham crumble maltiness in there as well

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the berries and vanilla, which provide a nice tangy/sweet/sour contrast that works extremely well. Graham crumble maltiness comes through towards the long finish. Alcohol hardly noticeable. Finishes with lingering berries and crumble maltiness

M: Medium-full bodied with low-moderate carbonation

O: A very good imperial fruited sour that is dangerously easy to drink. Definitely does a great job mimicking a blackberry crumble. Highly recommended

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass, not sure when it was canned but it arrived this week. Pours a dark purplish pink with a half finger sticky pink head that leaves that leaves thin streaks of lace, with excellent retention. 5

Smell is blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, and vanilla very nice and bold. 4.75

Taste follows that blackberry steps up immediately, with raspberry and black cherry in a supporting role, balanced by a healthy dose of vanilla really awesome. 4.75

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, plenty of life but actually a little soft and creamy, not dry, and at 10.2% loaded with flavor but goes down extremely easy. 4.75

Overall this for me is the most amazing beer in this style I have ever had. Will be heading to get more. Not a style I purchase a 4 pack of normally, but that is going to change. 4.75
