Im sampling a cellar temp bottle poured into my snifter. Part of my run that I picked up in October and the beer was bottled on 3/16/2021.
The beer pours a deep rich dark chocolate color with a creamy tan head of 2 cm. This foam fades slowly to a sturdy surface layer and leaves scattered lattice when I swirl the glass. No light is passing through this beer.
Aroma is unsurprisingly sweet and lots of fudge and chocolate, with hints of caramel and some vanilla buried in the background. no ABV hints and hops also absent on the nose.
First sip reveals a medium body with fine carbonation that slightly tingles its way across my palate. texture is smooth and silky, but does leave a bit of a sticky residue on my lips from each sip.
Flavor is sweet and full of fudge and brownie notes up front and into the swallow. i get a little roasted malt and some sweet caramel that comes through towards the end as well. No vanilla here and not boozy either which is impressive. I also still dont get any hops, which is not surprising.
This is a tasty sweeter beer with well hidden booze and a good dose of chocolate and fudge flavors and aroma. Glad to have tried this one!

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells like deep rich dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, caramel, and some light fruitiness.
This is wonderfully chocolatey and feels pretty thick and rich to me. There's a bit of vanilla, and not much salted caramel, just a hint - it's mostly fudgy brownie goodness on this one.
This is thick, rich, and very drinkable, with not much booziness at all to it.
This is a really enjoyable and decadent stout - Barreled Souls knows what they are doing for sure.
