This one pours a golden brown color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like caramel candy, vanilla, milk chocolate, syrupy raisin, oak, and bourbon.
This is really delicious, but in small amounts. It’s pretty sweet, with that raisin and caramel just dropping waves of sweetness on the palate. The bourbon character reels the sweetness back a little bit, but not fully. This is not a bottle to approach on your own – 3 or 4 oz of this is more than enough. Any more, it might have become cloying.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and slick, and oily, with not much booziness.
There’s a ton of barrel here and it’s a huge beer. It would be near the top for Barreled Souls if the sweetness was dialed back just a touch.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a very dark brown with the tiniest layer of head. The nose is absolutely insane. Might be one of my favorite noses on a barleywine. Huge toffee, sherry, figs, dates, molasses, prunes, and maybe a touch of leather. A slightly smoky/tobacco note comes out after a few minutes. This is just insanely rich and intense. A rare 5/5 for me on the nose.
The taste is equally amazing. Sweet upfront - more of a red wine/sherry taste. Toffee, brown sugar, figs, dates, and blackberries. Really freaking amazing. The bourbon barrel is definitely there, but doesn't necessarily dominate. This has a nice balanced taste.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Overall, this is an incredible BA barleywine. I liked the nose a bit more than the taste, but it's amazing all around.
