This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like milk chocolate, caramel, maple, toffee, coffee, bourbon, and vanilla.
This is pretty solid, but it’s a little bit sweet for something with no coffee, chocolate, whatever added to it. The barrel seems to add some caramel, maple, and vanilla to the flavor profile here, with not enough oak to offset that sweetness. There’s lots of milk chocolate and some coffee-ish flavor as well.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and rich, with no real booziness.
This was definitely tasty, but a little bit too sweet for my tastes. It’s not quite my favorite barrel aged stout from this usually excellent brewery.
