Oily black and opaque. Minimal head, retention or lacing. Sweet bourbon juice in the nose with dark chocolate, vanilla, toffee. Full bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel. Chocolate, booze, vanilla on the palate. Finishes rich and sweet. Perfectly balanced blend, probably not barrel-strength.

Poured from a bottle at fridge temp, but allowed to warm for about 15 minutes before tasting. Pours pitch black with a solid inch of light brown head. Good carbonation.
The nose is bourbon-soaked marshmallows, toffee, rich molasses, vanilla, baking chocolate, brown sugar, and a hint of roasted malts. Super smooth. It definitely smells like a strong beer, but I wouldn't guess 15% from the nose.
The taste definitely shows the ABV. A little boozy on the first sip. Big bourbon notes for sure. I love Elijah Craig bourbon, and I honestly think I can taste it. It would have been tough to pick out the type of bourbon had I not known it was EC, but we all benefit from knowledge! Also getting vanilla, marshmallow, brown sugar, dark fruit (blackberries), burnt wood, and a hint of spice. Really nice!
The mouthfeel is pretty thick bodied. The aftertaste is boozy marshmallow. Overall, I'm really enjoying this sipper!

Black with a tan head that forms a thin crown with spotty lacing. Marshmallow and almond extract in the joseX. The taste follows closely. Thick bodied with lively carbonation. Tasty. Reminds me of my mom’s chocolate mouse.
