On tap, pours a rich, deep brown that is not completely opaque. Smell and taste feature chocolate and some sweet, dark fruit, with the nuttiness and vanilla being more subtle. Big, fairly sweet, but delicious beer.

The smaller head does completely recede and leaves no lace. Deep dark brown where a bit of light passes.
Sweeter vanilla-like aroma with cocoa nibs.
Very rich body with a finer small-bubbled carbonation. Lots of semisweet chocolate with a large dollop of vanilla like the smell. There’s some alcohol warmth in the swallow. Long cocoa aftertaste.
