Stagg Jr barrels blended with a couple of the Booker's barrels that had been aging for 9 months and 10 days. After receiving the normal Fluff treatment, we dosed the beer with vanilla beans to take the aroma and flavor up a notch.

I am sampling a 2023 bottle at cellar temp and poured into my snifter. Picked up at the brewery last year and has been in my cellar since.
The beer pours a dark cola brown and rests slightly darker in my glass. A creamy tan head foams up about 1.5 cm. This foams remains as a sturdy surface layer throughout the sampling.
Aroma on this beer is not surprisingly, heavy on vanilla, definitely a "cleaner" vanilla bean or extract note mixed with sweeter marshmallow and a good bit of milk chocolate and roasted malts. No hint of hops nor any abv hints on the nose.
First sip reveals a medium body with very fine, yet sort of prickly carbonation. Texture is fairly smooth without any syrupy stickiness that bigger beers often showcase.
Flavor is what the nose predicts with chocolate, vanilla and general sweetness. There is definitely sweet marshmallow but also just kinda sweet. No hops, no booze, but also no roasted notes here either. A little candy bar flavor here which isnt unexpected based on beer and additives.
Glad to try this one, but may avoid in the future, the sweetness is a little much by end of the bottle.
