Poured at fridge temp. Pours a dark black with a solid inch of light brown head. The nose is delightful - full of dark chocolate, rye spice, booze, black licorice, roasted malts, some dark fruit, and clove.
The taste is really interesting. Getting cinnamon, chocolate, graham crackers, clove, rye, raisins, burnt toffee, and a hint of black licorice. Very nice. Not too sweet and not too bitter. Not too boozy either. Very smooth and nicely integrated.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied (Barreled Souls never seems to be too thick) with a rye and chocolate aftertaste.
