Poured at fridge temp. Pour a dark brown with a half inch of off white head. The nose is amazing. Toffee and rye all the way. Figs, prunes, honey, and maple also come through. Very inviting.
The taste is also fantastic. Caramel, brown sugar, maple, rye, boozy, figs, raisins, and a bit of Christmas spice. Incredibly smooth for almost 15% ABV. Not boozy, not too sweet. Just perfect.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a really nice caramel aftertaste. Amazing beer.

This one pours a dark-ish brown, almost black, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like liquid caramel, with nutmeg, cedar, lots of rye, vanilla, and maple.
The rye barrels plus the fact it’s a rye wine turn into quite the exploration of deep, dense rye character. It’s nicely spicy, with like an almost toasted cedar note, some like nutmeg or allspice. It’s just got a wonderful spicy rye character. There’s also sweet caramel, maple, and toffee.
This is medium bodied, with a nice warming boozy heat. It’s reasonably drinkable for the style and ABV.
This was a really enjoyable bottle to solo dome over the course of about two hours, as it warmed up and different layers opened up.
