This one pours a very dark black color, with a very small head, and not much lacing.
This smells extremely intense, with tobacco, boozy and spicy heat, licorice, and lots of bourbon.
This is by far the booziest beer that I’ve ever had from Barreled Souls. There’s a lot to like about it, but the intensity of the booziness does sort of distract and detract. It’s got a heavy duty anise/licorice/cedar note, accentuated by fusel booziness. There’s also chocolate, molasses, and coffee, with some excellent (and strong) bourbon notes.
This is medium bodied, slightly thin and hot on the finish. It’s a very, very slow sipper – getting through the bottle was an endeavor.
I enjoyed this, but it was perhaps a bit too much of a stout sledgehammer to the noggin.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours black with almost no head. The nose is super boozy. Bourbon for days. Vanilla, spice, oak, dark malts, and some burnt toffee. Dang this is intense.
The taste is intense. Molasses, chocolate, slight black licorice, bourbon, vanilla, roasted malts, and some nice fruit. This is just so full of bourbon. Love it.
This is definitely high ABV, but it's super smooth. It doesn't taste HOT like many beers do when they are up in this range. Super smooth. Love this one.
