Poured at fridge temp. Pours a very dark brown with minimal head. The nose is full of bourbon, toffee, figs, raisins, and molasses.
The taste is phenomenal. Loads of toffee, bourbon, vanilla, bread, raisin, figs, plums, and a touch of spice. I'm in love with this beer. Hits all the right notes for a Scotch Ale, and the barrel aging enhances the flavors.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and the aftertaste is caramel and bourbon. Lovely.
