Aged for a total of 22 months and 11 days, starting in Russell's Reserve Rye barrels before being transferred to a combination of 12- to 20-year-old Roaming Road rum barrels. This version has all the classic Big Bang flavor with some light notes of spicy rye and vanilla from the first barrels, with a load of added sugar cane sweetness, molasses, and raisin from the rum barrels.

This one pours a nice dark golden brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells very spicy and oaky, with slightly fruity tropical rum notes, lots of brown sugar, caramel, maple, and some vanilla.
There’s a really dense barrel character to this that sort of just turns this into barleywine candy for me. The rum barrel is really great, adding layers of brown sugar and oaky spice all over this. There’s a bit of citrusiness here, with vanilla, herbal spice, chocolate, and lots of caramel as well. Both barrels are present, but the rum barrel definitely gives more here.
This is surprisingly not that boozy, for how strong it actually is. It’s pretty drinkable, and really enjoyable experience to do so.
This is nearly as good as it gets for barleywine, this is a triumph.

Toffee and brown sugar malty, golden raisins, a hint of vanilla, and a bourbon barrel and a spiced rum barrel boozy nose on this one! Taste follows exactly with a delicious brown sugar and bourbon/rum barrel boozy finish. A touch thin for being double barrel-aged but good!
