This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells very fudgy, with black cherry, vanilla, caramel, molasses, and light roast.
Like the base Bring Da Ruckus, this is a bit sweeter than Barreled Souls is typically known for. It’s still quite good, with decadent fudge and caramel notes, lots of sticky sweet barrel notes – vanilla, brown sugar, oak, etc, and a touch of roast. If I’m nitpicking, I’d want more oak or more roasted character to balance the sweetness, but I’m definitely glad something that leans towards the sweeter end comes in a 12 oz bottle.
This is medium bodied, creamy and thick, but not too thick. It’s not very boozy despite the high ABV.
This is really nice stuff, but definitely split it and don’t try to take the whole bottle down yourself.
