L - love the handwriting on this crowler. Crowler was a bit underfilled but seems carbonated enough. Brown with crimson tan fringes. Mocha head that dissipates quickly.
S - strong sweet red malts. Candied carmelized dark fruits. Plums, raisins, bready vanilla.
T - first thing I noticed was how drinkable this was! Kept taking sips to see what I was tasting and before I knew it, half the glass was gone! 9.5% my ass. Sweet caramel creaminess with mildly burnt malts. Toasted white bread and raisins. Pecan pie. Typical doppelbock.
F - as previously mentioned, this is silky and creamy, but the body isn't too heavy. Low in carbonation.
O - dangerous beer because I know I'm gonna drink it too fast. Good flavors, but nothing really stands out. Good example of the style, nothing more.
