Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a pure dark pink to unhinged purple color. A finger and a half's worth of white foamy head slid off at a decent pace. Soft concave lace sat around at the sides slowly dissipating.
The aroma had blackberry tart and sweet tones up front then rolling into some strong vanilla creamy character. Seems to get stronger the more it warms.
The flavor was mildly sweet through the blackberries and vanilla/cream/lactose meshing. Stifled tartness wings itself against an even lighter note of sour. Mild milky sweet creamy aftertaste of blackberries and cream.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Low carbonation felt. Some stickiness but mature. Mellow finish of blackberries and cream.
Overall, nice fruit beer with an appropriate use of blackberries, very appropriate for this time of year.

16 oz. can.
Canned yesterday!
Moderate pour yields a one inch plus light pink head over a murky, watermelon colored body with scant lacing. Nose of slight blackberries and even slighter vanilla. Real nice taste of blackberries and vanilla, not too sour and not too sweet. Nice feel and overall, a real nice use of lactose in this offering from Braintree, VT. I could have this with breakfast! Cheers!!!
