Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a very hazy straw amber with light gold tints and a one finger off-white head with good retention and thick lacing. Looks interesting. Aroma of lightly grainy malt, spicy saison yeast, hints of lemon and coriander, light brett. Flavor is lightly bready malt, saison yeast, light citrus, coriander, brett. Finishes semi-dry with a very pleasant slightly sweet, earthy spicy and grainy aftertaste that is very satisfying. Excellent lightly creamy medium body, with obvious mouth pleasing texture from the oats. A very pleasant and somewhat complex saison with a healthy malt body with great contributions for the wheat and oats, a hint of rye and a deft touch of brett. The finish and aftertaste are really pleasant with a mild slightly sweet citrus graininess supporting light brett funk and light hop bitterness. I'm always happy to find a saison with wild yeast used as a light flavoring agent and not overwhelming. Very well done and flavorful. I like this a lot. If miners in the wilderness had an ale like this to drink, they had a much better life than I have been lead to believe from their diaries.
