Here's a can that spent an extra year mostly cold, so it still tastes clean. Most of the same threads in other reviews... light body, pleasant cherry flavor, some coffee in the aftertaste. Moderate sweetness with a bitter chocolate finish.

Aromas may have faded a little but there's a roasted grainy nose and the cherries. Overall this is a very decent and unusual stout that doesn't go overboard in the flavorings. Dark roasted malt, a touch of burnt sugar, and bitter chocolate. From the 16 oz can dated 09/24/2019.

Pours a luscious black with a nice sized tan head..great lace also.
Lovely aroma really reminiscent of 1970s Black Forest Gateaux..i had as a kid..dark chocolate, cherry and chocolate cream.
Taste similar but mainly semi sweet chocolate..and some ashy dryness. Little medium roast coffee in the end. Still nice.
Mouth feel is really nice and medium thick..carbonation low but in this case its OK
Nice beer for all of $1!!

16 oz can shipped with Tavour.

Pours black with little to no head retention. Low carbonation.

Aroma is roasty malts and alcohol, perceived as a slightly solvent-like.

Taste is roasted malt and chocolate. I do not get a specific cherry flavor, but a slight tartness that makes me think of cherries.

Overall this is a pretty good stout. I like the subtlety of the added chocolate and cherry flavors that do not cause a sweetness overload, but this beer is suffering from a severe lack of carbonation.
