i adore these guys, get pumped to drink their stuff when i can score it, and think the label art on this one is pretty heady. its a very light and dry hoppy saison type, clean and simple, white wheat and european pils malt base seems like it, unfiltered looking but still delicate, and it holds a glorious couple inches of rising white foam, lovely appearance to this. aroma is juicy from the hops but also with some herbal noble type bitterness, a hint of key lime and pineapple, but also wet grass, nice and fresh. the flavor is about the same in terms of the hops, but the fermentation profile is a little more interesting in flavor than smell, less french, more white wine and citrus candy notes, a hint of something a little more savory like a new pack of cigarettes or something, curious, and all on the finish with the hop bitterness, some clean lemon is the final note though. i like the balance and how flavorful it is while also being so delicate, its dry as a bone, unique for being clean, and each aspect contributes to it evenly. not usually a clean saison guy, but this is so far ahead of what most others are doing with them, i really loved it. this kind of thing has me excited for spring already, like birds chirping in a glass. yum!

Had on tap. Murky yellow body with only a white ring to accompany. Smell gets hops right away with considerable lemon, lime, melon, and flowers in particular, drowning out any table beer nuance. Taste is also hoppy but the belgian yeast steps up in a rewarding way, but still is eventually overpowered. Feel is hoppy for style, light, bright, medium-light bodied, very crushable and smooth despite hoppiness.
