Our Robust Porter is brewed in honor of the women and men of the Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment and the National Motor Lifeboat School. A traditional Porter that is full-bodied and full of flavor, but still refreshing and easy to enjoy.

Poured from 16oz crowler into a dimpled mug. This can was filled a few days ago at the brewery.
Appearance: rich, deep, dark brown hue with some ruby highlights around the edges when held up to the light. Head is a thick finger of super frothy tan foam. Pretty!
Smell: aroma is nutty and toasty with little bits of chocolate and caramel. To my brain this is more of a brown ale type of aroma, but overall it's pretty nice.
Taste: there's a lot more chocolate up front in the flavor than in the aroma, and it seems to have a bit of a dry note. There's plenty of caramel malt and a definitely bitter bite. There's also a coffee note here that was less evident to me in the aroma. This is indeed robust -- and it's growing on me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a pretty darn satisfying creaminess.
Overall: I would say that I have to be in the right mood for this beer; it's got a little bit of a rough edge but the flavors are good.
