Poured from 16oz crowler into a dimpled mug. Can filled a few days ago at the brewery.
Appearance: pretty dark orange hue with lots of murk and two fingers of frothy ivory foam. Looking very good.
Smell: fruity with some melon, tropical, and perhaps just a tiny bit of pineapple note. It's pretty juicy, too; I quite like it.
Taste: juicy and tropical, but with an herbal, earthy character as well. Bitterness is moderate in intensity, and perhaps just a bit sharp in character. It seems maybe a little unrefined, but I find it growing on me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and pretty decent creaminess.
Overall: there's kind of a bizarre sharpness here that sort of impedes drinkability for me. The flavors are good, though.
