Clear golden brew with plenty of foam in the St. Bernardus globe. Tangy and spritzy on the tongue. Aroma of honey and alfalfa with a whiff of green tea. Pleasant mild malty taste with notes of lemon and crackers. There's a touch of orange peel and that fruity hop note. It's quite a tasty Pilsner with the nice balance of malt and aromatics, and the restrained bitterness. From the 16 ox can purchased at Barons Market.

Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Clear 15.25-oz. pilsner
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $2.06 with 10 percent off for a variety 6-pack
Purchased: Aug. 4, 2017
Consumed: Aug. 4, 2017
Reviewed as: German Pilsner
Misc.: No canned on date
Picked this up along with a bunch of others at Bine & Vine. By accident got two of these. I mean I like my pilsners, but I somehow didn’t get the AleSmith - Sublime Mexican Lager. I sure hope this is good. Originally thought that I have never tried anything from 32 North, but looking on Untappd I had both Maverick and Gose (4.0 on Untappd) and Landfall (3.75 on Untappd). Both on the sour side, nothing this plain.
Poured a straw, clear color with two fingers of fizzy off-white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled the normal German pilsner notes, maybe a tad boozier on the nose. Got grass, hay, sourdough bread, corn cereal, white cracker and a hint of honey. Out of the can got almost a pineapple and guava note, but traditional from the glass. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted a little better than the nose initially. Got Corn Pops cereal, sourdough bread, fresh-cut grass, hay, white pepper, spicy Czech Saaz, white cracker, hints of honey and some lingering citrus zest. (Taste - 3.75)
Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was a very good German Pilsner. Now not mad that I got two of them. May have underrated this a tad, but very good overall. (Overall - 3.75)

Poured from 12oz can into Pilsener glass. No date.
L: Pale clear yellow, finger width white head has sub par retention.
S: Bready light malts, with herbal grassy hops.
T: very bready malt flavor, with good herbal grassy hops. This could be better but a solid Pils.
F: Light, crisp, somewhat oily feeling.
O: A pretty good Pilsener but nothing special.
