Great beer! Smooth IPA hops with a bit of a spicy Saison finish. High carb. This beer draws a bit outside the lines and it pays off. Very original, like nothing I have had before. Well done.

Hop character comes through very well. Loved the notes of tangerine, apricot and orange. Much hazier than first time I had it

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Melvin 14-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $3.59 (because of 10 percent off for a variety 6-pack)
Purchased: Aug. 17, 2018
Consumed: Aug. 17, 2018
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Misc.: No canned on date
Picked this up on a trip to Bine & Vine, along with five others for the 10 percent off. Had only one other 32 North beer, giving Pilsner the Conqueror a 3.79 about a year ago (Aug. 4, 2017). This one was labeled as a “Hazy IPA brewed with Mosaic, Citra & Azacca.” Obviously a fan of Mosaic and Citra, but it had been awhile since I had Azacca
Poured a light amber clear color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at a fast speed. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Mosaic first and what had to be Azacca. Remembered it as soon as I smelled it. Got lime, pine, pineapple, mango, herbal, green leaf, grass, light Citra, Juicy Fruit gum, blueberry, floral and peppery notes. From the can mainly got Mosaic, Citra, raw grain and pine. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Got Mosaic, Azacca and Citra in order. Also pine, lime, herbal, green leaf, grass, black pepper, pineapple, grain, Juicy Fruit gum, blueberry, floral and mango. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, spicy finish. (Feel - 3.50)
This was a good beer, although I don’t know how it was hazy at all. More West Coast IPA than anything else. Not sure I’d have it again though. (Overall - 3.50)
