I saw this in Charlestown West Virginia at Walmart and figured I'd give it a try. If you're a fan of cold brewed coffee, this is the beer for you. For me, not so much.

16 oz can from West Virginia. Bought last month but already more than a month past the BB date stamped on the bottom rim. Can was refrigerated and the beer shows no sign of age related deterioration with the possible exception of the aroma.

Appearance. Lightly hazy golden body with a fine white head that leaves plentiful lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Less appealing than hoped, probably due to the particular mix of earthy hops and coffee.

The flavor is OK and the medium-light bodied mouthfeel is quite good.

16oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours a clear golden color with a one-finger foamy and pillowy head that has great retention

S- aroma is mostly coffee, with that green bell pepper note that is often found in coffee beers, evena. bit of stewed tomato. Undertones of pilsner yeast, toasted crackers. The more this warms up, it smells like a pot of chili

T- taste follows the nose with a big vegetal note coming from the coffee; bell peppers, stewed tomato. Undertones of cracker malt, honey and a hint of grassy hops. Lingers of vegetal coffee

M- light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

O- an interesting concept but the coffee selection was a bit off-putting in this one

Coffee brews have become common over the last few years, I've had a few. This one is quite tasty. I am assuming this is basically the companies Logger Lager with some coffee added resulting in a new taste. It's nice and golden right from the tap with hints of coffee aroma. Somewhat dry like a German Pils but with the coffee added in. It works. I would gladly have another but not one that will become a regular. Nicely done though.
