16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a good-sized head of bubbly, brown foam. It smelled of coffee, chocolate and toffee. Strong roasted coffee taste with chocolate and toffee.

3 week old can, been looking forward to picking one of these up. these guys have yet to disappoint and this is another goodie. deep dark brown stout with some nice chunks of lace after the khaki head died off. nose is a cup of coffee, cold brew really and hints of chocolate. straightforward in a good way. taste is super fresh rich coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt, nothing lightening up this at all and i'm here for it. medium bodied, thinner than expected but goes down super smooth, one of the more drinkable stouts i've had recently. glad it's fresh and those coffee flavors are full force.

From a one pint can, this brew is absolutely dark...black in color. The aroma is serious coffee...dark espresso roast, with some char and heavily roasted grains. Maybe a little dark chocolate in the background. The taste is balanced, with malt underneath, some smoothness, and lots of bitterness. Coffee and bakers chocolate bitterness. Full in body. The ABV sneaks up. Wonderful.

I like it a lot. Very creamy head. It pours a dark brown and has a really nice mouth feel. Very pleasant milk chocolate flavor. The flavor profile is not complex, but it’s pleasant and very easy drinking.

brewed with coffee and chocolate, this is a real nice beer, and a great change of pace from all the hoppy stuff they are currently serving in the taproom. i think the balance between the dark malts, the dark raw tasting chocolate, and the fresh brewed coffee is a great fusion of flavors, and the coffee is awesome, forward and ahead of either other element in nose and taste, likely cold brewed as it is rich and mellow without much acidity, and smooth all the way, prominent and roasty, earthy, and big. it has a certain slow pace to it for being kind of lighter in body, and its really not overly complex considering all of the factors in play here. more coffee than anything else, wintery in taste, but lighter in feel, a touch sweet for a moment, and bitter and roast again by the end of it. very enjoyably and surprisingly easy drinking beer for the style and the strength. the hoppy beers stood out to me the most here at modern, but this was mighty tasty. one of the better local coffee beers i have had in the saint louis market to date...

Overall great beer. A Flavor could b stronger for my taste, but great flavor. Dark chocolate after tones. Very smooth! Might have another one!
