interesting beer, my first from these guys. somewhat red for a pale ale, looks almost like a hazy brick color rather than anything pale, perhaps listed incorrectly here. cool beer though, with a great hop aroma all bright and clean, and a sturdy but dry malt base thats surprising for its color. some nice depth to this, clean on the hops and overall far less hoppy than anticipated, light there for the style but incredibly well balanced and drinkable, something a little different with the nutty malts. smooth medium body here, good carbonation, and quite dry. i wouldnt totally call this one an american pale ale, more of a red type to me, but very well made for what it is, good enough to have me interesting in checking out more of their stuff next time i am in town. a different type of balance for a red, being dryer and all, they did a good job, and i love the tap handles they have with the little light bulb that lights up, one of the more unique and clever designs i have seen for a handle in a long time.

Poured out a clear, copper color with a small white head of bubbly foam. It smelled of tropical fruits like mango and pineapple. There was a touch of caramel and grassy notes. It tasted of sweet tropical fruits, a light caramel flavor and some grassy bitterness. A medium bodied ale with a dry, clean finish.

Straw yellow in color with heavy haziness and minimal penetration to light. A quarter inch of bright white is on top. Heavy lacing. Aroma is minimal at best with citrus hops. The flavor is dominated by a citrus hop flavor that seems to overwhelm the pale malt. The mouth is creamy and a bit thick. An odd APA.
