16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled very roasty with coffee and caramel malt. Good roasted malt and coffee taste with chocolate notes and a piney bitterness. There was a hint of tropical fruitiness.

I'm a stout and porter guy. The black color is impenetrable to light. A small tinge of beige on top. This has a very heavy lacing with the pour on site. The piney hops and sweet dark malt has a faint aroma but a strong taste. If you like dark beers, this beer is very well balanced. Just a touch of water with that dark creaminess.

From a tall can, this one is appropriately named...all black. It is an obsidian liquid with a medium tan head and a decent lace. The aroma is roasty, grainy, and has a bit of dark malt underneath. Full in body. Dry in taste, with coffee and roasted qualities. Okay.

Black in color and impenetrable to light. Fingernail of beige on top. Heavy lacing. Aroma of piney hops and sweet dark malt is a bit faint. I taste sweet dark malt and piney hops. This beer is fairly well balanced. The mouth is fairly creamy and slightly watery.
