L: Pours an opaque dark brown with one and a half fingers of a tan head with coarse bubbles.
S: Freshly ground coffee, cacao nibs.
T: Roasted malts, cocoa powder, and coffee on the attack, giving way to darker chocolate and a touch of vanilla bean on the finish.
F: Light in body and thin for a brown ale, but this is billed as a session ale. Good carbonation, very drinkable.
O: Very enjoyable, with lots of flavor and character packed in a session ale. Would definitely buy again.
