Thanks to whomever sent/handed me this 12 oz. bottle, as based on my first two encounters with Phenom I’m eager to add more experiences to my list.
Black. Rich, chocolate, booze, bourbon. Y’know, the good stuff.
Looted Art (2023 Bourbon) is both sharp & sweet. The definitive sharpness is what makes this notable, a throwback to the early years of Surly Darkness & other hop-forward stouts. Malt-heavy sweetness mingles with strong bourbon notes mid-palate. Other gentle stingers include cocoa, rough marshmallow. Begs to be sipped.
Note quite the banger the first two examples were, but still a very good brew.
