500 ml bottle into a snifter. 2016 edition, had 11/6/18.
Pours a ruddy amber, a little cloudy, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating head and a little soapy lacing. Aromas of cherries, light raspberries, some red wine, Brett, oak, a light spicy, peppery aroma. Smells somewhat tart, lightly sour. The flavor also starts somewhat sour and lightly tart, then malt, an indistinct fruity taste that becomes more cherry- like when warm, oak, lighter Brett, red wine as it warms. Has a sweet note on the finish. Smooth, a good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
Great aroma, a very good flavor that isn’t as intense as the aroma. Th low acidity is a plus. Very enjoyable.
