Frontenac wine grapes harvested from our family's vineyard were destemmed, crushed, juiced and blended with our Guildmeister German style Kolsch in a new, fermented creation. Frontenac grapes are a red wine grape, cultivated by the University of Minnesota to grown in the Midwest and is used by vintners to make rose“, red (dry and sweet), and port wines. This beer features a unique blend of cherry, blackberry, raspberry, black currant, and plum notes, with a light toasty, breadiness from the malt. Drinks like a dry, sparkling red, but with the malt reminders of a beer. Wine drinkers: this is a must! ...see what I did there?
