473 mL can from TBS; dated May 30 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy pale golden colour, its body containing a few clumps of sediment that quickly settle to the bottom. Gathered atop is nearly a finger of tight, foamy white head that vanishes within ninety seconds or so, quickly reduced to a narrow collar and otherwise barren surface. The aroma is a little on the sweet side, but not nearly as much as I'd feared - I'm getting vanilla, cake batter and candy apple, with underlying hints of wheaty, bready pale malts. It has its charms, but the big test is yet to come.
It passes, but just barely. The vanilla flavouring is immediately apparent, backed by creamy lactose sweetness and bready, wheaty pale malts. Sort of a tangy sweetness in the middle - 'candy apple' is still the closest approximation I can offer - with more vanilla, wheat and lactose reverberating into the aftertaste. Medium in body, with moderate carbonation that lends some bite to this brew's otherwise smooth, somewhat fluffy mouthfeel. Fair drinkability, but one can is plenty for me, thanks.
Final Grade: 3.3, barely squeaking out a B-. Cake It Til You Make It is the closest I've come to drinking cotton candy and vanilla cake in beer form. Honestly, I thought I'd dislike this beer considerably more than I actually did, so that's sort of a win, I guess? What I mean is the vanilla/lactose combo could've been far more cloying/hamfistedly done, but I think Longslice did a decent job. It's not something I want to drink again any time soon, but I can at least see the potential appeal - worth the tick only if you enjoy vanilla beers.

Described as a “Pastry Blonde” Pours a cloudy gold colour, with little to no head. Birthday cake notes on the smell. On first sip, I thought it was way too sweet, but the vanilla cake flavour grew on me. It’s not as horrible as it may sound. One will be enough though. Unique
