neat beer here, from what is becoming a pretty cool brewery too. i think i liked the biere de mars a bit better, but this is tasty too, just simplistic and not all that distinct, which is the same thing i found in their ipa, very well done, but samey to many others. this has a french saison yeast complexion with all the warm fermented viniferous notes that come from it. pale pale wheat base, i would suspect a lot of pils type malt in here too, with such a light body and low frothiness of feel. the hop flavor is nice, moderately aggressive for a saison, which i like a lot, very american. its higher alpha seeming, and with all the carbonation and yeast flavor, is balanced very well. made as well as most others going in colorado right now, but i just feel like i have had this beer before, like it tastes like a lot of others out there, maybe made more professionally or with closer attention to detail or something, but like it follows a recipe that came off of google with a few tweaks to the hops. looking forward to trying more of their stuff though, good first impression.
