A: Pours a pinkish/red color. At first a two finger white head forms and recedes in a second. No lace is left behind.
S: Up front, I get a quick whiff of buttery popcorn...diacetyl That quickly fades to some generic fruit sweetness. Which is pleasant at first. Though as this warms more buttery aromas come out.
T: Like the nose, a quick draw back from buttery flavors. I can only guess diacetyl. Fruity sweetness comes next, not really tart, not really "sour" and certainly not well defined. Buttery flavors grow as this warms...
M/O: A light body, thin, no snappy carbonation. Just kind of limp and nondescript. I finished the pint as fast as I could. Just not something I want to come back to.
At first I did not trust myself, but as this warmed I definitely got buttery diacetyl. Not a lot of fruit character, not a lot of tartness, or anything that I would consider "sour." I have heard a lot of good things with their Gose variations, this did not do it for me though. Maybe I am a little over sensitive, or my tastes just off, but was not happy with this.
