On tap, it had the basic looks with a head that faded slowly and left good lacing. Decent looking but not enough to give me a woody.
Nose is dominated by sweet malt, with caramel, yeast, candied sugar, toasted grains and booze. Comes off like a strong tripel, which works in my view.
Tastes like it smells with the booze hitting first and the the caramel, sweet malt, yeast, candied sugar, toasted grains, coriander and peppery spices, tea leaf, earthy notes and then more booze. If you like a strong Belgian brew then this is for you. Enjoyable overall, I’d have it again.
