Our super smooth and creamy Plum Stout is the perfect addition to our Harvest Series of seasonal ales. Locally grown sweet plums complement our traditional Belgian style Stout. Plum Stout is brewed exclusively with New York State grown barley, wheat, hops, plums, and our proprietary Saint James Brewery yeast strain. Enjoy!

Had it on tap at the brewery and it pours black looking color with a small tan/brown head that faded on the quicker side and left minimal lacing. Smell was basic stout with a hint of dark fruit and then some charred malt. Flavor was also middle of the road stout with no plum coming through. It hid the ABV well and went down smooth.

A: The beer is nearly jet black in color and has traces of dark brown near the edges of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that quickly died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of plums are present in the nose along with notes of Belgian yeast.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of plums - and some associated sweetness - along with additional hints of dark malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found the taste of this beer to be very enjoyable and particularly liked the contrast between the plums/sweetness and Belgian yeast.
