Brasserie de La Lanterne "Fender"
€2,80/25cl on tap at the brewery on 18 September 2021
Notes: Listed at 6.0% ABV.
Look: Very hazy deep gold body with an orange sheen beneath a short head of white foam. Good head retention but limited lacing (dirty bar glass?).
Smell: Limited aroma of malt and orchard fruits.
Taste: Grainy, biscuity, and somewhat nutty malt with apple/pear and some mild grassy hops. A median bitterness balances it and it finishes with fading malt and a drying bitterness as grassy hops rise.
Feel: Medium bodied with a seemingly natural, fine bubbled and gently crisp carbonation.
Overall: This is a decent and enjoyable Belgian style pale ale with a touch of added strength at 6%.
