Served in a pint glass at the 406 tap room billings my. The look is a pale brown. The smell is barely noticeable but is slightly nutty. The taste is a bit pale. It is definately bitter. The feel is alright. You overall this beer did not stand out to me at all. It wasn't bad but wasn't great and I felt like nothing distinguished it from a ther beers.

Had on tap at Bert and Ernies in Helena MT. Great balance in an easy drinking esb. Slight spice hop flavor that matches well with malt backbone. Glad to see cabinet mountain do this as a flagship. Very underrated style in my opinion. Well done.

My favorite beer I had from my trip to Cabinet Mountain. A fine example of an extra special, quite drinkable with moderately perceived hops just slightly outshining the malt backbone. I could drink a lot of these.
The service at the brewery was impeccable. It's a tiny establishment and my server, Danielle, knew every little detail of the operations and was happy to indulge my many questions.

On-tap at Latitude 48 in Whitefish. A fine example of the style. It's not as richly malty as the Rockaway ESB I'd normally drink in NYC, but it's a wonderful subtle ESB as the style often is. The hops are mild but spicy and an excellent complement to the lightly toasty bready hops.
