The color is a blend of dark copper and ruby red. There's a fingernail of beige round the rim and covering the majority of the top. I'm smelling clover, orange, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I take a sip and WOW, those spices are bold! The clove leads the way with orange a close second. I'm also tasting nutmeg and cinnamon. The spicing actually gently burns the tongue and is otherwise moderately carbonated.

Bomber poured into a Dogfish Head goblet. I believe this was released in December of last year, so this has had about 7 months or so to bottle condition.
L- deep Amber to Amber brown. Little to no head which seems to be a theme with a lot of their bombers. However, this isn't exactly an issue with this type of beer. A little chill haze. But again, not really frowned upon with barelywines. Has a little legs to it.
S- apples, oranges, Clove, cinnamon, and a little piney hops. Smells like Christmas
T- cloves and cinnamon up front. The malt lends a bread character to it. Lots of fruity notes as well that are hard for me to nail down. Finishes with toffee sweetness. This is a complex beer. Taste like a liquid fruit cake (a good thing) without the horrible texture of fruit cake.
F- medium bodied. A surprising amount of body for the high abv. Good carbonation for the style.
O- this brewery is continuing to improve and this beer is a great example of their growth. I'm not a fan of barely wines, and have shied away from them for a while now. This beer might change that. This beer is freaking great. Lots of complex flavors and aromas going on, but not overwhelming. I've heard that this beer gets better as it ages a little. I'm hoping that they have a few more bottles left so I can really let one sit for a year or so.
