So now we're marketing what is basically a Mexican lager to the active consumer/slope-hitting beer drinking demographic as having electrolytes since there's salt in it. And charging 20% more than those Mexican lagers. Let's see if it's any good, but I'm skeptical going in...
12 fl oz pull-tab can:
Lacks the sticky syrupy lime puree flavour found in subpar lagers brewed with lime, but the lime flavour here - somewhat authentic though it may be - isn't terribly evocative or interesting. The sea salt is similarly subtle, but at least adds palpable flavour to this simple lager. Refreshing? Sure, I mean, I'd have a pitcher over pizza with friends.
It's a tier above the lime and salt Mexican lagers on the market, but it's not 20-30% better despite costing 20-30% more. I don't know what demographic will be buying more than one sixer of this, let alone buying it regularly, but I do know that I won't be.
A drinkable yet forgettable lager.
