On-tap at the brewery itself, on to the beer:

This is a dark amber colored beer that is topped with a half-inch of head and solid head retention. Its aroma is very toasty. Perhaps too toasty. It smells very raw as well, like spent grain. However, its taste is a little sweeter and more welcoming. Sweet, toasty, spent grain, some earthiness, and caramel notes make this amber lager. With a medium body and moderate carbonation, this is a decent beer that's good for those who are watching their alcohol intake.

On tap at the brewery – San Clemente, CA
From the sampler – 08/24/2014

A: Soft amber body with some really nice clarity. Topped by a half finger width of light khaki foam. Decent stay power that slowly diminishes out to a sticky ring with tracks running down the glass after every sip.

S: Malt focused with doughy pretzel and toasted biscuit notes. I get a light caramel sweetness to the nose and a very clean Lager yeast presence. Some earthy mineral likeness rounds out the other aromas. Pretty simple and straight forward.

T: Bready with more of a toasted biscuit angle and an overall toffee malt like sweetness. Plenty of hops to this little brew as well with a touch of tongue bitterness on it. I get bitter orange with earth and mild spices there. The beer is light and frothy with a nice dry finish and alcohol pretty much void here. Nice little sessions beer for sure.

M: Very light although feels bigger than 4.1% with some robust malt presence. Frothy and creamy on the palate with some mild bitterness. Finish is dry and very clean.

D: While simple and more malt focused the Kellager is a tasty little sessions. Has some really nice balance to it overall with some warm toasty malts and a touch of hop bitters. Not my favorite offering here but nothing really flawed either.
