On tap at Pizza Port Bressi Ranch – 03/28/2015
Full pint served in a Tulip glass
A: The pour is a bright goldenrod hue with some orange like hues to it and enough yeast haze to obscure any transparency to the body. Smallish ivory foam head which settles into a faint crown at the brim. Only some minimal dotting and a couple splashes of stick are left behind.
S: The nose brings light peppercorn and coriander spices with some bright citrusy lemon peel. I get a very grainy wheat malt likeness to this and it’s not unlike a Saison to me. Finishes out with a few floral and stone fruit notes. Delicate and modest but nice.
T: Dried orange and lemon peel with pink peppercorn and some light yeasty phenols encompassed by a distinct malt graininess. I would say some pilsner in here most likely as it has that husk like quality to it. I get some floral notes and bit of golden fruit as well. Finishes dry and crisp with a kick of spicy noble hops. Not all that complex but in good balance and very refreshing to drink.
M: The mouth feel is very light in body with a nice frothy carbonation to it. There is a low amount of bitterness on the palate and a very crisp clean finish to the feel.
D: A nice Belgian table brew here. Nothing terribly complex or intensified. Just some delicate flavors with good drinkable balance. Crisp and refreshing throughout.
