Pours a clear amber with plenty of foam in the wine-style Belgian glass. Massive hoppy nose. with cedar and fresh-baked dirt. Flavor is a lot of pine but there is some lingering mango and hints of apricot. IBUs are rated at 80 and it's plenty bitter but helps ensure you will still be sober in the morning.
Pleasantly sudsy mouthfeel with a distinct tang rather than acidity. Also lots of malt, but not a sweet bomb. This seems to get better after some sipping. Well balanced and interesting variation on the strong IPA. From the 16 oz can purchased at the local San Clemente liquor store.
