Poured a semi-clear amber body with one and a half fingers of thick, bubbly white head. Overall impression of appearance is of an excellent IPA, true to form. Scents of pine resin, grapefruit peel, tangerine, tropical fruit giving aromas of mango and light pineapple and vegetal hops giving an onion and dank hop aroma with a malt backbone of caramel and toasted malt. Flavor begins with notes of vegetal hops, imparting flavors of onion, dank, herbal hops are also present, as is an overriding flavor of grapefruit peel and pine resin. Middle continues these flavors. Finish is dry with notes of vegetal, earthy hops, pine resin, and grapefruit peel. Aftertaste is dry with notes of pine resin, vegetal hops and grapefruit peel. Overall impression of flavor is of an excellent IPA, flavorful, hoppy and full. Mouthfeel is light bodied with moderate carbonation and a lightly resinous feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of an excellent IPA, very well done. Overall this is one of the best session IPAs I've had, it has an excellent aroma and flavor, one of the best. It avoids the just hops flavor some have to be more malty, but not more than it should be, and with a wonderful aroma and flavor. Fantastic.
