Copenhagen 9/3 2021. 33 cl bottle from Brygshoppen web-shop. Kind of classic simple label. Light blue with a white stripe across.
Pours slightly unclear pale yellow with a big, fluffy white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor of wheat mingling with sour notes. Sweet blood orange and tangerine. Light sent of citrus and unripe berries rummaging in the background.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, soft, tingling, lively texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a lighter sourness. Aftertaste is sweet and lemonade-like. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Solid Weizen which cannot cut all strings to the Belgian Witbier.

Notes via stream of consciousness: So what makes this a "Belgian Hefeweizen Beer"? Just upon opening it I can tell that it doesn't have as much carbonation as a German hefe. The look is the same but the head is smaller and I see less bubbles rising within. In the nose I'm getting banana and a plastic phenolic note. It's a little herbal and spicy as well. I'm not sure how I feel about the aroma but let's taste it... as is usually the case it tastes very much like the aroma. That's because the majority of what we "taste" is actually smell. The malt, however, comes through clearly, lightly sweet and very wheaty, which rounds it out, balances the plastic-like phenolic, and dampens the herbs. Some apple and a little bit of clove come through giving it some more character which is nice. It's a little more acidic than most of the German hefezeizens I've tasted but that's OK. The label lists 20 IBUs and I believe that. I think that might be slightly high for the beer that it's within, but again, it's OK. It finishes dry, spicy, herbal, and grassy. It's medium bodied and bristling on the tongue with a beyond standard carbonation level. The head has held up really well but the lacing leaves a little bit to be desired. All in all it's decent, and it is unusual, but I'm pretty sure that the only thing that makes this a "Belgian Hefeweizen Beer" is that it's brewed in Bruxelles. Or am I wrong? Is there something about the whole of it that makes it somewhat Belgian in a non-specific way? You'll have to try it for yourself to find out.

It’s a German Hefeweizen. 330ml at 7%. Quite ambitious from a Belgian brewery to dip its toes into a well known and widely appreciated German style.
Poured into a teku, leaving a 2 inches white head, color is cloudy yellow...
Smells citrus, lemon...
Taste follow the nose (big smile). Some hints of banana, and a clovey finish which is distinct of many Belgian beers.
Overall : it’s a good beer, but nowhere as exceptional as the German Hefeweizen we drink preferably during spring and summer after a rough day. I had to give it a try

Pours straw yellow, with one finger white head. It seemed crystal clear in the bottle, but it's very hazy when poured -- most likely the yeast residue. No lacing to speak of.
Smells of banana, bubblegum, and apple. Very sweet.
Tastes of apple, banana and bubblegum. A bit peppery. Slightly too sweet for my tastes. It's almost cider-like in a way, with some light sourness. Bread in the aftertaste. Herbal and grassy hops as it warms, and some sort of medicinal taste. Cloves too.
Prickly carbonation, very ticklish. Medium body. Actually the mouthfeel itself is close to that of cider.
Intriguing -- the only other hefeweizen I've ever had is Paulaner, and it certainly is very remote from that one, but it's also very different from other belgian wits I've had. I just wish it weren't so sweet...

On-tap served in a pint glass at Wishbeer, Bangkok.
L:
Slight hazy golden color, it comes with white foamy head that leaves some trails of lace after died down.
S:
Banana, very crisp citrus and orange peel, very spicy, clove, peppery, some wheat twang, bready.
T:
Banana, bubblegum, clove spice, pepper, orange peel, and wheat yet bready malt.
F:
Medium body, smooth, crisp, refreshing, very dry finish.
O:
This brew is an interesting mix between German Hefeweizen and Belgian Wit, good hybrid.
