Poured from 12oz can into glass. No canning date information found on can or label.
Medium amber colored body, mostly cloudy but uprising bubbles can be seen. One finger off white head stays around. Some spots of lacing.
Aroma is roasted malts and brown sugar.
Taste is roasted malts with sweeter brown sugar. Very little bitterness. Kind of dry on the finish.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
A sweeter version of a brown ale. Easy to drink.

L: bright tea colored brown under a 1/2" light tan head with fair retention
S: chocolate with an earthy, tea-like woodiness, brown sugar and some malt and grain
T: flavor starts with rich, malty brown sugar. It starts a little sweet and dries a little on the finish but not quite enough. A tea-like hop bitterness struggles to balance the sweetness
F: This medium bodied beer has medium low carbonation
O: This is a flavorful British Brown Ale but it is a little too sweet and has a littel too little hop

Poured out a clear, light brown color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled nutty with caramel and toffee notes. It tasted sweet and nutty with brown sugar notes.

Oliphant Brown Sugar Brown Brown. English-style brown ale. 6.7% aBV. Fermented dry with English Ale yeast and plenty of brown sugar.
Clear, caramel colored, slim beige head.
Aroma: sweet 'n' malty, cocoa and cream, softly nutty, caramel and toffee, to boot. Nice.
In the mouth: soft and mildly malty. Smooth & tasty. Low hop bitterness, high malt sweetness. Off the chart deliciousness.
Good beer, and I can drink it.

opaque and brown with two fingers of head that dissipated quickly.
i think i would have liked a bit nuttier beer to offset the sugar here - reminiscent of eating a spoonful of sugar. nose is overwhelmingly sugar, and the taste leaves you wanting something to cleanse the palate just a bit.
mild carbonation on this one, and a bit syrupy on the mouth.
it's ok. can says 6.5%.
