Notes: We're small, irreverent, and genuinely happy to see you. Run by two mama ducks - Matt Wallace and Trevor Wirtanen - these happy honkers say hello! Mission: to boldly gro where nobody's gone befrore...dummy! For your beeeer. Description: Trevor and Matt, Oliphant's official quakers, cycloned through this brewing process to end up in Somerset, WI. Tongue firmly in cheeks, these two are crafting with a diligence previously unknown to them. We dug up a motto in the comic book trenches, and it reads (or is more appropriately exclaimed!), "Let Unreason Reign!" Toodaloo!

Very neat location, and our best stop on a day of 5 breweries. Honees honees was great. We had one taster provided for us, then got to pick two more. Almost everywhere else we stopped picked what we would drink, so I really enjoyed having a say in what I wanted even with a busy tap room. Great selection of tasty pours here. I would come back with more time to enjoy this place!

I traveled from South Dakota specifically to have their Groot beer, a Gruit style that made 102 out of 104 beer styles on my quest to try them all. Oliphant is behind a liquor store at the end of an alley, and looks to have previously been a auto repair shop. But it's pretty cool, wish I had taken a picture to post. We went on a cool and cloudy day in May, but they had the garage door open. The outdoor area is pretty cool, with murals and string lights. I expect this is THE watering hole in town. Groot was excellent and so were the folks. I picked up a crowler of Groot and T-shirt also. I'd go back again, though a bit out of the way for me.

Oliphant is a treasure in our neck of the woods. It is a local brewery with some amazing beers. They started canning 16 oz cans. I like their beers for the most part but most of all I like their imagination. I like the adventure they take me on when tasting their brews. If you are in the area, make a point to visit. Cheers!

This place is way off the beaten path, but definitely worth visiting. Small tap room, 8-10 beers on tap. You will get to know your bartender, and that is a great thing. Beers can be hit or miss, but you can taste for free before you commit to a larger glass. I love this kind of place, where you sit and talk beer with the patrons and bartender as you taste beers you never had before. and if you like one, get a growler to go.

I make the drive to Oliphant, which is over an hour and a half, several times a year. I do it because of the beer, which is top notch. I always have requests to bring back beer whenever I go there. Probably the only downside of the place is that it's small, and gets packed really easily. This is offset in the summer when they have outdoor seating. I highly recommend going there.

The best thing about Oliphant is the variety of brews. Instead of focusing on the IPA craze they experiment with many different varieties and combinations of varieties. The location leaves a bit to be desired, but the actual place is small, but nice. Service is very good. A great place to hang out and enjoy a good beer.

Went on a whim and glad we did, this place is like hanging out in your neighbor's garage, but with better beer... One of the owners/brewmasters (Matt) was tending the bar and we ordered a flight. He served us one beer at a time and explained the beer with precision and gave some insight into what the thinking was behind the beer and what they were trying to accomplish. We sample all 12 beers they had on tap and each and every one was great, we will for sure be stopping back.

This is a great new addition to the small town of Somerset Wi. Was fortunate enough to be visiting my in-laws during the grand opening of this brewery. Very Small but very nice and comfortable. There is no food offered here but I can't imagine the owners (I think their names were Matt and Trevor) would mind if you brought some in. Both brewers were there when I was visiting and both we very, very nice and helpful with any questions I had. One of the better times I've ever had at a brewery due to the hospitality of the brewers. The beer offerings were good, the one that jumped out at me was their "Ennuipa" pale ale brewed with Merkur hops which I gave a perfect 5. It had a very unique, distinct aroma and flavor due to the hops they used. Their other offerings were at least a 3 or higher so definitely worth a visit when Im in town or even when Im feeling like a beer run! Also their prices were very reasonable, 10 dollars for a 6 beer flight. 5 for a pint. Glassware and growlers were also affordable. Thanks guys!!
